Essay: Our Life with Computers

Computer is very useful! We can research almost everything on the Internet, listen to music, communicate with many people... there are many things which we can do with computers! And also we can learn with computers! Also I learn with computers. So today I'll talk about what I learned with computers.

First I'll talk about 'challenges.' When I use computer, there are many difficult things. In writing class, we have own blog, so we often use computers. But it's difficult for me because I can't use computer well. Computer has many many functions, and it puzzles me. But my teacher and friends teach me how to use computers. So I can use computers well than before. This is challenge things for me.

Second is 'communication.' I can communicate with many people through the Internet. Now I join mixi, and I've made many friends who live all over Japan. I never meet them, but I like them! They are kind, and I can enjoy interchange mail with them. If there wasn't computers or Internet, I thought that I wasn't able to become friends with them! I appreciate computers. Also I communicate with many people through writing class. I often visit to other class student's blog, and leave some comments. And also someone who I don't know visits to my blog and leave comments. Only occasionally foreign people come to my blog. I think that it’s good communication!

Third is about 'information.' In the Internet, there are much information! Infinite information!!! We may be able to know everything if we use Internet! I also appreciate Internet. I always use Internet to look over something I need when I do my assignment. Internet is very useful for study! And I use Internet for daily life. For example, I often use cooking recipe site to know how to cook. I learn about cooking from the Internet. I have other example. When my favorite soccer player, Inamoto, lived in England, I often visit English sports news site to know about him. It was written in English. But I didn't like reading English, so it was difficult for me to read. But I was happy because I was able to got information which wasn't written in Japanese sports news site.

Fourth I'll talk about 'useful applications.' I often use Power Words to learn vocabulary. I think that it is very useful applications! I can learn vocabulary while I'm enjoying. Also Power Words has sound function, so I can learn correct pronunciation! Since I started Power Words, I got a large vocabulary, I think. And other useful application I think is online typing practice. I like typing, but I want to type faster. So online typing practice is very useful for me!

As a conclusion, I'll talk about my opinion. In our life, we often use computers. And computer is important part of our life. We can know everything you want to know. I can't imagine there aren't computers! Using computer is difficult thing, but it's also useful thing. I hope that I can use computer better than now and I learn many thing.

Writing Essay: A Shrine Sacred to SOYBEAN PASTE

Do you know Miso Tenjin(味噌天神)? Miso Tenjin is a shrine sacred to soybean paste(味噌), and it’s near my house. I want to know about Miso Tenjin and tell everyone about the mysterious shrine, so I decided to write about Miso Tenjin! I’ll talk about history, tradition, and the president Miso Tenjin!

First I’ll talk about the history of Miso Tenjin. Miso Tenjin’s official name is Motomura Shrine. Miso Tenjin built about 1300 ago. When epidemic was raging in 713, Miso Tenjin built to cure epidemic. And then, people enshrined 御祖天神 (Miso Tenjin, god of mysterious medicine), so this shrine was called Miso Tenjin.

Miso Tenjin is the only shrine sacred to soybean paste, then why does Miso Tenjin enshrine soybean paste? Next is traditions of Miso Tenjin. There are some traditions. A long time ago, there was a kokubunji (国分寺, temple in the Nara period). One day a fire broke out in the temple. Then priests put goshintai (ご神体, sacred things) in the soybean paste in order to protect goshintai. After fire, priests looked goshintai in the soybean paste. Goshintai was safe because of soybean paste!! There is another tradition. If soybean paste go rotten, bamboo leaf in Miso Tenjin make rotten soybean paste become delicious!! Do you believe that? I can’t believe, but many people believe it. So, until before the war, people come to Miso Tenjin in order to get bamboo leaf.

Lastly I’ll talk about the president Miso Tenjin. In October 25, the festival is held in Miso Tenjin. There are some events. For example, present soybean paste, taste miso soup, and so on. Miso Tenjin is loved the locals even now!

Miso Tenjin is an old shrine, and there are some mysterious traditions! And people love Miso Tenjin also now. I’m glad that only shrine sacred to soybean is in Kumamoto, and near my house! I think that Miso Tenjin is the secret of Kumamoto. And I guess that there are more traditions about Miso Tenjin, so I want to look into Miso Tenjin!

Essay: Life with Dogs

Today I'll introduce my future community! I want to make a special community, it's a "Dachshund Club." This club is for the lover of dachshund. Do you know dachshund? It's a kind of dogs. And Milktea is dachshund. Dachshund is very cute, so they are popular. Especially small size dachshund is very cute! They are long body and short legs. Because of it, they have weak backbone. That's a short explanation about dachshund. I think that this community will be nice club. So I'll talk about purposes, activities, and dream of this club.

First I'll talk about the purposes of this club. I want to make this club because of Milktea. Since I've lived with Milktea, I have many worries. What food is the best? What toys should we choose? What dose she think? I want to make Milktea happy, so I think about Milktea a lot! However I can't talk about my worry with others. So I can't solve these problems! But if there is Dachshund Club, we have same problems, so we can talk about our problem each other!!! This is so useful for them who have Dachshund, I think. So the purpose of this club is to solve our worries!

Next is about activities of this club! Main activity is the exchange of information. For example, vaccination, foods, shampoo, veterinary clinic, free place for dogs (we always say dog-run), and so on. Also if we live near, we go to cafe with dog together! It is also nice to walk our dogs together, I think! Or somebody want to make their dog marry, you can choose from this club's dog. Contact with them who have dachshund is so fun! We can understand each other. Other important activity is cleaning in our town. When we walk our dog and they get to toilet, it is manner to clean it. However some people don't clean up! It is a bad manner. So we clean our town as same people who have dogs. We are cooperate and follow good manner!

Last is my idea of dream. This club isn't just a fan club of dachshund. I want to make more useful community! Now there are many problems about dogs. I hope that this club became meaningful community. We have responsibility for dogs, so we have to think about them seriously. And in the future, this club's activity will expand to the world! We must think about important lives and save them. I hope so.

There are many communities of dogs, but I want to make some different club! We have will, and active to solve many big and small problems. I think that this club became a nice club! Everyone love their dogs and make them happy, so we have to cooperate each other. I hope that we make good community with our sweet dogs!

MR 2-01: Important Things That She Taught Me

I watched 'Mrs. Doubtfire.' This movie was so interesting! I enjoyed watching it. And this movie taught me three important things: Love, marriage, and happiness. So I'll talk to you about what I felt from this movie.

First, I'll talk about love. I thought that there were many loves in this movie. Daniel loved his children, and Miranda also did. Children loved their parents. Daniel and Miranda also loved their works. And because of love, Daniel played Mrs. Doubtfire. However their loves caused many troubles. Love doesn't always make us happy. However the feeling what we think about someone is very important things.

Next is about marriage. I think that we can't marriage only we love each other. At first love is need, but of course we need money. Also our family members increase if we get baby. Miranda said, "Well, at first, nothing. He was so... romantic, so passionate." "It was Daniel's spontaneity and energy I fell in love with. Everyone else I knew was so organized, so scheduled. But Daniel was so wonderfully different, and funny. He could always make me laugh. But after a few years, everything just stopped being funny. I was working all the time, and he was always between jobs. I hardly ever got to see the kids." This words expressed important things, I thought. We can't marriage only love! Daniel and Miranda loved each other, I thought, but they divorced. Marriage is difficult!

Finally, I wanna talk about happiness of family. It is the most impressive thing for me. If I make this movie, I don't select the ending like this movie. A happy ending usually finished after they reconcile, and sometimes they kiss. However this movie was different. We were able to find new shape of love. Mrs. Doubtfire said, "You know, some parents get along much better when they don't live together. They don't fight all the time and they can become better people. Much better mommies and daddies for you. And sometimes they get back together. And sometimes they don't, dear. And if they don't, don't blame yourself. Just because they don't love each other doesn't mean that they don't love you. There are all sorts of different families, Katie.", and "But if there's love, dear those are the ties that bind. And you'll have a family in your heart for ever." This movie is positive about divorce. Divorce is not only end but also it's the beginning of new sort of family. It is not happy only to live together. Each family have the sort of their happiness.

This movie was a comedy! We were able to laugh many times. However it was also serious movie, and there were many important things. Daniel gave me a lot of happiness! Probably you feel something important if you watch this movie! I liked Mrs. Doubtfire!!!!! I want to think about love, marriage, and happiness of family. And I hope that I can make the happiest family in the future.

Essay- I love Milktea!!!

Today I'll introduce about my favorite place! Where is your favorite place? There are many nice place in the world!! However my favorite place is Milktea's room! I can't think any better place than Milktea's room. So I'll tell you how nice Milktea's room is!!!

First I'll tell about Milktea's room. Before Milktea came my home, this room was place for visitor. This room was only Japanese-style room in my house. And we didn't usually use that room, so this room was the cleanest in my house. However, it changed on November 8 in 2004. Yes! Milktea came my home!!! My father said, "we can't live in same room, so this room(Japanese-style room) is Milkea's room from now!" So Milktea got her own room! Milktea's room is next to living room, and under my room. Her room is large, and larger than my room. No! Her room is larger than any other private room in my house! And her room is very comfortable!! The temperature in her room is always just good. There are TV, air conditioner, kotastu, and air cleaner! Milktea's room has many nice items, so her room is always comfortable.

Next is about Milktea and us. What do we do in her room? When I come home, I go to Milktea's room right away. I want to see Milktea soon!!! And I take a nap with Milktea. After that, I make dinner for Milktea, and I look Milktea while she eat dinner. And we watch TV together. I'm with Milktea almost my time. My mother also do so. In holiday, I'm in her room all day. I use computer, write blog, read books, watch TV, listen to music, and so on! I do anything in her room!!! My sister and I often sleep with Milktea. We sleep well with Milktea. I'm sure that Milktea makes us relax. My father and brother don't come Milktea's room so much. However all family members gather at Milktea's room on New Year's day, because there is a family Buddhist altar.

Lastly, I'll talk about memories of Milktea's room. However we don't have special memories. For us, all event happens in Milktea's room is special memories!!! Everyday with Milktea is the special memories!!! We think so.

Milktea's room is special room for not only I but also my family. We love Milktea, so we also love Milktea's room. Milktea makes us happy!!! Because Milktea is there, it is the best reason why I love Milktea's room! I need Milktea. I want to be with Milktea forever!!!!!

My language learning history

I'll talk about my language learning history. I have studied English, French, Chinese. I like learning language.

First I'll talk about English. I started studying English when I was 10 years old. The reason why I started studying English was influence of my brother and friends. My brother went to juku school, and I often went to see him. He looked enjoying study. I became interested in English when I saw him. My friends also studied there, and they asked me to juku! I was so glad, and I decided to study English. This was my first experience to learn foreign language. I liked English very much, and of course I like English now. In junior high school and high school, I studied English hard. I watched CNN news to get listening skill. I wrote many English word to learn vocabulary. Also I talked with Assistant Language Teacher. It was so fun to talk with ALT. I thought that it was important to talk with native speaker. In the university, way to study English was changed. I studied English by native speaker, and I studied economic English. I spoke English more than before. Also I wrote, read, and listening English more. I enjoy studying English now!

Next, I started study French when I entered the university. I chose French as second language because I was interested in France. I longed for France! French was difficult to learn than English because there were neutral words. And also it was difficult to pronounce. However learning French was so interesting for me. I often studied French by listening CD. My mother liked listening French CD too, so I sometimes studied French with her. Now I don't study French, but I hope that I study French again.

Lastly, I have studied Chinese. I studied Chinese because I thought that it was most useful language than other language. Chinese was written by 'kanji', so it was easy a little to expect meaning. However I couldn't learn how to read! Chinese was difficult in accent. Chinese has 'pinyin.' Pinyin is the Roman alphabet that show how to read the word. I couldn't learn Chinese well. However I thought it was good to know about many things, for example pinyin.

Learning language is so fun! If I learn language, my world become wide. Now I learn English. English is a special language for me. By studying English, I also learn pleasure of studying language. I want to study more variety languages!! And I want to learn Of course to study language in the classroom is also important, however it is more important to speak this language and communicate with native speaker. I hope that I can communicate with many person from another country.

MR 1-2: We need superheros!

I watched Mr.Incredible.

First I'll explain about the characters. Bob is a superhero as Mr. Incredible. He has an incredible power. Helen is also a superhero as Elastigirl. She can stretch any shape! They are married, and they have three children, Violet, Dash, Jack-Jack. Violet can become invisible person. Also she can make fields. Dash can run uncanny speed. Jack-Jack is a baby. His talent is unknown. And Frozen is a friend of Bob. He is also superhero. Incrediboy is long for Mr. Incredible. His real name is Syndrome. Edna is a designer, and she designed for Mr. Incredible's costume. Mirage is mysterious woman.

Mr. Incredible was a famous superhero. He guarded the peace of town and helped many people. There were also some other superheros in the town, and everyone depended on superheros. One day Mr. Incredible helped a man who want to kill himself. He survived, so Mr.Incredible saved his life! However he accused Mr. Incredible of helping him though he wanted to die. It triggered, and superheros were accused one after another! So superheros forced to live as normal people.

Bob worked at an insurance office. However he couldn't forget about his glory as superheros. Because of it, he couldn't concentrate on his work. Since his family also had to hide their talent, so they had complaint and they long for normal. One day Bob got into trouble and he was fired. At the moment he got a message. It was from Mirage. This message said that there were new works as a superhero. Bob was delight! And he decided to undertake this work. This work was to fight with robot. Anyone couldn't control this robot, so Mirage asked Bob to catch this robot. And he succeed at this work!!! Then his life was changed. He become energetically, and he could get back his past glory. However he kept this work secret from his family.

Such his life had continued two months. Mirage asked Bob to do new work, however it was a trap of Syndrome! Syndrome had a grudge against Mr. Incredible. 15 years ago, he longed for Mr. Incredible, so he called himself Incrediboy. However he damaged because Mr. Incredible ignored him. He invented many machines in order to revenge Mr. Incredible. Bob was caught by new robot and Syndrome. At the moment, Helen noticed that her husband had secret. So she called Edna and met her. And she knew that Bob left his work and he got new work. She decided she went to the island where Bob was in with super suits made by Edna. Helen chartered a jet plane. Amazingly, Violet and Dash were in the jet plane! Then the jet plane was attacked and blew up. Bob knew it and despaired. However they lived by using their each super talent.

Helen got into hideout alone and she helped Bob. At the moment, children were found by enemies! So children fought with their super talent. Bob and Helen escaped from hideout, and all family members joined in the forest!! They fought, but they were caught by Syndrome. Syndrome sent his robot. And Syndrome went to the town in order to become superhero. Bob and his family escaped through Violet's talent, and they went to the town by the rocket in order to save the town!

In the town, the robot rampaged around. Though Syndrome pretended to save the town from this robot, in fact, he controlled this robot. Bob and his family arrived there, and they fought. However, without notice, even Syndrome couldn't control the robot! So Bob and his family cooperated with Frozen, they subverted this robot!!!

Syndrome couldn't give up, so he went to Bob's house and he wanted to kidnap Jack-Jack. However Jack-Jack had grate talent!!! Syndrome couldn't kidnap Jack-Jack, and he died because his cloak was caught in engine of the jet plane.

After that, Bob got back the proud as a superhero. Also he remembered love for his family. Family's life were changed, and they became happy with sometimes becoming superheros.

I like this movie!! I've watched this movie many times. The point of this movie I thought was the growth of family, especially of children. Violet became actively, and Dash was able to use effectively his talent he had too much. Bob and Helen knitted the york of matrimony. I think that adult can also enjoy this movie!! You should watch this movie and become cheerful. I'm looking forward to produce sequel of this movie.

Full of Happy!!!

I'm enjoying my university life! I have many friends. Studies in university are very interesting. My favorite time is a lunch time. I have a nice university life.

I made many friends! One year ago, I was worry about making friends. However I was able to make friends through classes and my friends. Now also I'm making new friends. I talk and eat lunch with my friends. All my friends are kindness and cheerful!! I'm happy that I can spend good time with my good friends.

I like studies in university! In university, we can chose classes by ourselves. So we can study which we want to study! Last year I liked biology class. I didn't like biology so much before, but it became favorite class for me. This year I like many classes. I can enjoy studies. Studies in university interest me in many things!

Lunch time is happy time for me!! I like eating. My mother makes my and my sister's box lunch everyday. My mother is good at cooking. Three days a week I eat lunch with my friends. We eat with talking. It is fun! Also I often know about homework in this time, so this time is necesarry for me!!!!! Two days a week I eat alone or with my family. On Monday, I have only first and second period. So I come back home, and eat with my mother. We eat with talking or watching TV. On Wednesday, I don't have second period, but I have first and third period. I can't wait for lunchtime, so I eat in second period. I usually eat in bakery. In second period, there isn't many people. I can hear music in bakery, it's one of the reason why I eat lunch in bakery. I like eat with friends, but it's also good that I eat lunch alone. I enjoy my box lunch my mother made!

My university life is full of happy!! I think everyday that I'm glad to meet my best friends! I want to more various studies. I tresure my lunch time with delicious box lunch. I'm happy everyday!!!

MR 1-1: Shrek

I watched "Shrek."

I'll explain about the characters of this movie. Shrek is a lonely ogre or monster. He lives in swamp. Donkey is a donkey. He can speak, and he likes chat. Fiona is a princess. And Farquaad is a king, but he is not a really king because he don't marry.

Shrek lives in a swamp. Everyone fears him because he is a monster! However, Donkey doesn't fear Shrek, and he want to be friends with Shrek. One day, all character in the fairy tale are driven to Shrek's swamp. So Shrek want to get back his swamp, and he visit to Farquaad. Farquaad order Shrek to help Princess Fiona. Shrek go to the castle, fight with a dragon, and help Fiona.

Fiona and Shrek become falling in love, but they don't become obedient. A few days later, Fraquaad comes to Fiona. They will marry.

The day of wedding of Farquaad and Fiona, Shrek knows everything! So he go to Farquaad's castel, and he say "I love you." to Fiona. And they kiss, Fiona become beautiful...

I love this movie! I watched this movie first time, however I like this movie as soon as I watched. The character was so cute! I and my mother liked Donkey the best. He is so funny. This movie taught that the importance of friendship and love. Shrek was lonely, but he met Donkey, he changed. They became friends. Donkey didn't judge Shrek by his appearance. And Fiona too! Fiona and Shrek spend a good time, and they felt in love though Shrek was an ogre. I thought that it was important not to judge by their appearance. I was happy because Shrek and Fiona became happy! And Donkey also became happy with Dragon. I was surprised that the dragon was girl! I thought the dragon was a boy. Donkey was a good and important character in this movie. I hope Shrek and Donkey are best friend forever.

Everyone should watch this movie, I think. This movie is really good!!! And I want to watch sequel of Shrek. I think all of Shrek series are good and interesting movie!

Ina, Milktea, Dolphin...About Me

Hello. My name is Chie. Please call me Chie. I'm 19 years old. I live in Kumamoto in Japan. Kumamoto is located in the south. There is Mt. Aso in Kumamoto. Mt. Aso is famous for caldera.

I'm a student in KGU. I'm majoring in English, and I'm studying about the culture of other countries too. I found that I don't know so much about my country, Japan. If I want to know about foreign cultures, I must study about my country first. However it is difficult for me to study.

I'll talk about my hobby. I like watching soccer game on TV. I sometimes watch the games in Europe. My favorite player is Junichi Inamoto. I love him! He belongs to Frankfurt in Germany. His play impresses me. Also I like his smile:-) I love him since the World Cup in 2002. He is so cool! What sports do you like? And who is your favorite player? If you like soccer, would you take me to soccer stadium? I want to watch the soccer games in England.

I like cooking and eating. However I'm not good at cooking. I'm learning cooking from my mother. I hope that I become a cook in my family.

I have a dog. Her name is Milktea because color of her hair is like tea of milk. She loves eating like me. She is so cute!!! However she is so selfishness like me. I often fight with her, but I love her. She is my family, and my best friend.

I want to go the aquarium! i love dolphins. I want to see dolphins! Is there any aquariums in England?
